CRN Comments on US Elections
It’s good news that Americans felt able to elect Obama as president. A great pity that Martin Luther King or Obama’s grandmother weren’t around to see it. When the euphoria dies down, the fact remains that Obama has 4 years to demonstrate that he can sort out the huge problem of the US economy. If he tries to use the US economy and energy policy in order to try and control the weather/climate, then the current euphoria may well be likened to winning $1000 in the casino…..on the Titanic!
On another note, Republican Oklahoma Senator James Inhofe, Washington’s leading climate realist, was re-elected to serve a full third term.

At least his grandmother got to vote for Obama in pre-poll voting
