‘Green Hell’ Book Review
Marc Morano Reviews Book: ‘Green Hell’ Coming Soon to a Life Like Yours – March 25, 2009 – Human Events.
Excerpt: …astounding new book by Steve Milloy titled ‘Green Hell: How Environmentalists Plan to Control Your Life and What You Can Do to Stop Them.’ [...] Don’t say you were not warned. A new book has debuted just in time to help save the humans from the “save” the Earth crowd. The book serves as a chilling warning to modern society. [...] “The greens, you see, have personalized climate change. It’s your fault. It’s your commute, your home, your purchase. Even your eating is a problem,” Milloy writes. “In sum, the better you have it — the more immoral you are,” he adds. [...] Milloy points out that global warming may be a moral issue after all. Depriving the residents of the developing world from affordable energy and modern necessities based on unfounded eco-fears is nothing short of immoral. Milloy reports that New York Times Columnist Thomas Friedman recently “cried out to India, ‘No, No, No, Don’t Follow Us’” in response to India’s plan to introduce the $2500 car to the general public. But, is it “moral” for white wealthy Westerners to preach “Don’t Follow Us” to the estimated 1.6 billion people of color in the developing world who lack running water and electricity?

Does history show that blind capitalism and the conservative mindset are capable of sustainable treatment of this planet’s life-support system, the environment? Milloy’s “Faux News” bias rings loud and clear here… After all, one can be financially successful and environmentally responsible.

I was told about this last year by a person who made me promise not to tell anyone that he explained this to me in detail. However he took me to a “windmill Ranch” where there were beyond sight humming metal objects, where nothing could be grown or havested (how can you get a harvester in with metal poles every five feet?) Personally I would not like my cows or horses grazing around massive amounts of direct current either.
I can’t reveal my friends name or organization as that would damage his employment and his business. However, his message is relayed loud and clear by Malloy in “Green Hell”

I am with Eric. I am floored by this. You act as if mind control will soon be used to control you not to drive your car more than 20 miles a week. The environment is in grave danger and I understand there are those who don’t believe this is the truth, but sustaining the planet we live on is the only option we have. Tree hugging liberals are not the ones to fear right now it is the corporations that foster the changes in gas prices to keep us in check.

Also with Eric.
Green Hell, with its powerfully patriotic cover art and witty but pessimistic introduction, could be a prime suspect for propaganda feeding. And of course, it does no better than any other left-wing extremist book on the state of affairs, be it any issue. I grow tired of reading such books, and it’s a wonder how anyone gets enjoyment out of a book that tells you that “YOUR FREEDOM IS IN DANGER!” every other sentence. That, no matter what subject, is propaganda.
