The removal of Australian Liberal Leader Malcolm Turnbull, and his subsequent replacement with climate realist Tony Abbott, saw the defeat of Prime Minister Rudd’s Emissions Trading Scheme (ETS) by 41 votes to 33 in the Senate. Kevin Rudd will now travel to the Copenhagen Summit empty handed.
