Taxpayers Still Footing The Bill For Alarmist Climate Groups
BRUSSELS bureaucrats gave climate change groups more than £1.5million of taxpayers’ money last year to promote the theory that human activity is causing global warming, it emerged yesterday.
The European Commission handed out huge cash sums to Climate Action Network, Friends of the Earth and the World Wildlife Fund (WWF). In one case, British and other European taxpayers paid out more than £700,000 to Friends of the Earth Europe – more than half the pressure group’s 2009 budget.
CRN comment: Climate alarmism is a nice little earner, or should that be big earner? WWF are heavily implicated in the non-peer reviewed UN IPCC melting Himalayan glaciers scandal. Can we have our money back please?
