The EU’s 10 Green Friends in Lobbying-Funding Loop
The International Policy Network (IPN) have produced a report entitled: ‘Friends of the EU – The Costs of a Taxpayer-Funded Green Lobby,’ which reveals how ‘green’ pressure groups are funded by the EU in order to lobby the EU. In fact, the ‘Green 10′ are increasingly dependent on the EU for funding. Ten years ago, they received €2,337,924 from the European Commission; last year, it was €8,749,940. The EU pays eco-lobbyists to tell it what it wants to hear. Bad for democracy, bad for the taxpayer.
